An overall quiet week of weather is expected with high pressure dominating the weather pattern following a front that will pass through the area on Monday morning.
Sunday will be mostly cloudy with moisture moving into the area ahead of the weak surface front and the strong upper level disturbance. Winds will also gust 15-25 mph on Sunday. Snow is likely across the mountains, and even a few snow showers may enter the foothills late Sunday night and early Monday. Accumulations are not expected at this time.
As we move into next week, expect more sunshine and moderating temperatures. High temperatures will be a few degrees above average on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The average high temperature for late January and early February is 50°.
Our next system is scheduled to approach near the weekend, but models are not showing much moisture with this system.
