Showers and thunderstorms are possible tomorrow morning and again tomorrow afternoon along a stalled front.
High temperatures will only reach the low 70s in Hickory, Lenoir, and Morganton tomorrow afternoon with partly to mostly cloudy skies. The wind will die down tomorrow, with a southwest wind around 5-10 mph.
Rain will be possible, first in the morning hours and again in the afternoon hours. Thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon, with the greatest threats being heavy rain and frequent lightning. I am not expecting widespread severe weather Tuesday.
Showers and storms are possible Wednesday and Thursday with the stalled front lingering across the Carolinas. Better chances of rain are expected Friday and early Saturday as an area of low pressure finally pushes the front out of our area.
