Warm Pattern to Remain For Extended Period

We have seen above average temperatures across the southeast for the past few weeks, and that trend will continue through the weekend.

High temperatures Tuesday & Wednesday will be 10-20 degrees above average. Most areas will be in the mid to upper 60s. The only issue will be scattered showers and a few thunderstorms Tuesday evening and Wednesday with a front passing through the area.

A brief cool down is expected Thursday and Friday with high pressure bringing cooler air from the north into the area. High temperatures will be in the low to mid 50s both days.

But, temperatures climb again into the weekend. Saturday and Sunday will be in the 60s and even low 70s on Sunday.

The GFS computer model shows how warm it will be the next five days. Most areas will average 8-12 degrees above average through Saturday.
