Clouds Remain With Warmer Temperatures

After a cloudy and cool Sunday, expect a warmer Monday with a few breaks of sun; however, clouds will remain through the week.

Monday and Tuesday will be the warmest days of the week with temperatures climbing into the low to mid 80s under mostly cloudy skies. There will be a slight chance of a shower on Monday with a better chance of storms on Tuesday. I expect a 20% chance of showers Monday, and a 40% chance of storms Tuesday. On Tuesday, there will be a cool front in the area that will push through, which is why I am expecting better storm chances on Tuesday.

By Wednesday, I expect a chance of storms in far eastern and mountain locations of NC ; however, I expect most areas in the piedmont of NC and VA to remain dry. The piedmont of South Carolina could remain active with the front in your area. Temperatures will be in the low to mid 70s across North Carolina.

Thursday and Friday, I expect partly cloudy skies and temperatures remaining in the low to mid 70s for the Carolinas. This is 5-10 degrees below average for this time of year.
