A slow moving cold front will capture tropical moisture from the Caribbean, bringing heavy rain to areas East of I-95 through Sunday Evening.
A slow moving cold front will cross the Carolinas Saturday evening through Sunday evening. Scattered showers and storms are expected west of I-95 across the mountains, foothills, and most of the piedmont.
Heavier showers and storms are expected across the coastal plain, including coastal communities through Sunday evening.
The High Resolution NAM computer model shows those showers and storms affecting the coastal communities on Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. The storms will start overnight Saturday and last through the afternoon hours on Sunday.
Flooding may be an issue, especially right along the coast. Models are indicating some areas may receive over three inches of rain right along the coast due to the training nature of the thunderstorms.
